Do Not Disregard All The health Benefits Of Weight Training

So many people are missing out on the benefits of weight training.

Too many people associate weight training with huge body builders only.

Weight training is beneficial to everybody. Far too many people overlook the many health benefits that comes with weight training.

One of the major benefits is that weight lifting will increase your bone density, thus helping you to prevent osteoporosis, and even stress fractures. Contrary to popular belief, running is not necessarily good for building bone density, but can actually promote muscle breakdown in the body. Weight lifting on the other hand, being an anabolic process, promotes the building of tissues. It will also strengthen the ligaments and other tendons which are connected to the bones and muscle, which will help to prevent injuries while taking part in other sports or physical activities. About 80 % of  injuries are a direct result of ligaments, tendons or muscle not being strong enough.

Studies also show that weight training is beneficial in preventing problems such as blood pressure, heart disease,  and cancer.  It can even assist in decreasing the rate of insulin resistance.

We need to realize, there are many factors involved for the sake of gaining size. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism, which would allow you to eat more while maintaining your weight. It is the combination though, of a good weight training program, combined with a healthy diet which will determine your results. If gaining weight and size is your goal, your diet should have more carbohydrates,  amino acids and dietary fats, which are your building blocks. Once you achieve your goal, adjust your diet accordingly to maintain your weight at your desired level.
